All calibres listed are suitable for Stanta ETR Ranges.

Red highlighted calibres are suitable for Thetford Gallery Range

The Club will remain within the boundaries of the new energy levels for all MOD ranges, namely 4,500 joules/ 3,319ft/lbs of energy and 1,000mtsps/3,280ftps of velocity. There is no intention at this moment in time to facilitate high energy firearms.

Please note that reloaded ammunition where permission has been granted for its use must comply with manufacturers guidelines and not exceed them and thereby exceed range regulations.

Otherwise the reloader of that ammunition if involved in an accident may well be liable.

All calibres listed for permitted use on either Stanta or Thetford Gallery are the most common calibres but not necessarily all calibres that can be shot on these ranges. Any unlisted calibre you think might be suitable please seek advice from club officials as to its permitted use.

Below are a list of common calibres prohibited either due to exceeding velocity or the new energy limit.

Notes: The grain of a bullet is a measurement of its weight

The energy of a round = velocity*bullet weight

fps= feet per second

a discarding sabot is a plastic sleeve encasing the bullet which has the effect of significantly accelerating the round. It is discarded soon after the round leaves the barrel
